Shout-out to World Pulse!
I've just completed a dvd, Women's Power, that looks at what has been withheld from us about female leadership, courage, and creativity. It's really international in scope, with a strong focus on indigenous women, and looks at women's contributions, including farming, building, weaving, pottery as well as spiritual leaders, mothers and elders, warriors, rebels, and social change activists.
You can learn more and see clips from the movie online from this page: http://www.suppressedhistories.net/womenspowerdvd.html
and the entire transcript of Women's Power is online for free at: http://www.suppressedhistories.net/womenspowerscript.html
I hope this dvd will be used as a resource for empowerment of young women, women in recovery, all kinds of communities.
I just ran across the World Pulse site. With all the intense happenings going on now, it is great to find this resource. We have our work cut out for us... Along with the heavy lifting we have to do, all the hard economic and political realities, I think it is crucial to clear away the cultural colonization that demoralizes women, and discourages us from flexing our very real power.
regards to all,
Max
