I am ready to do an action,

I am writing again but with an idea that has made me feel stronger than ever.
Sometime before, my friend, Marvah and I applied for a 10 day conference by Women2Women program in America. We both are studying at the Asian University for Women in Chittagong, Bangladesh. First when I applied, I was thinking that I will surely get this chance. Unfortunately I was not able to get that chance, but fortunately my friend got the chance. After Marvah’s return to Bangladesh, I was thinking why do I want to join this conference? Surely everyone might say because of learning new things, meeting new people, visiting a new country, sharing thoughts and so on. But I thought again and this was not my answer. My answer was, for getting ready to do an action. In fact nowadays it is really difficult to do an activity in Afghanistan, and that also without having a strong source to support you. Nowadays, people write and give speeches in order to show how their ideas are and how they can start doing a project. Yeah, project_ what does a project mean? Does it mean an activity, or it means projecting your voice. Which one? Before joining the Asian University for Women, I was indeed so poor of knowing what project means? Now I can understand, it means doing something after sharing it with others and taking other’s recommendations. As same as Marvah did; when she returned back to Bangladesh, she explained her new ideas, and her new perfect, wonderful ideas of how she can do something for the better of women’s situation in Afghanistan. I love the way she thinks. That was what encouraged me a lot to get ready to apply for that conference again, and get that chance and explore my ideas as well. I hope to get that.
This was one thought that every time made me feel as I am an ever strong person and can do whatever I want to do. The better you think, the easier you will succed.

with warm wishes,

Salam Helen Jan,

Dear Helen,

Firstly, I am really happy to get a comment from an Iranian women, as I am really interested to know about Iranian women's situation as well. Thank you so much for reading that. yeah, I think the more people become aware and get educated, the more their hiden visions come out and they get ready to change something that is not in its normal order. As for we women, as long as we get educated, we will obviously one day bring changes in our community and will raise women's voice among the people of hte world.

Best wishes,

Mursal Hamraz

Hi Mursal
Thank you for responding to my comment. As you know Iranian women are suffering in Iran too but they have kept their degnity and solidarity and they are fighting for their rigths. More than 60% of students in universities are young women like you because they know how education is important for them and their future. I also believe if we, women, stay together and make alliances, we can make differences for the future of the women around the world and in our communities. Hope to hear more from you. I will talk about you and your comments in my class. By the way what is your major? if you are majoring right now. I will keep in touch. Thank you
Helen
