Our Mission

Our mission is to reduce the premature deahs of infants by empowering families to take charge of their prenatal experience, to promote breastfeeding, and to increase the number of maternal and child health care providers, particularly indigenous midwives. ICTC brings families and health care professionals together to collectively support healthy pregnancies, reduce premature births, and provide direct services.

ICTC is an infant mortality prevention, pregnancy support and midwifery training non-profit organization, comprized of women and men who want to improve birth outcomes and provide training opportunities in their communities.

Hi! I just checked out the ICTC webpage ( What an important group! I've had friends really struggle with navigating the maze of hospitals and doctors out there just to find the health care they need to raise a child. It can be really difficult to find rich community resources and support during pregnancy. I see you are in Portland, too! Are there any upcoming events you will be doing around here? Please share with us about the Black Midwives and Healers Conference in Harlem. I'm sure you will meet some amazing people there!

Best wishes,
