Laptops needed to help our Workers in the field

The upheavals resulting from the aftermath of the Khmer Rouge regime are still felt today, both psychologically and economically. Migration, due to the socio-economic imbalance between rural and urban areas, limited education, debt, lack of income generating opportunities, and poverty, contribute to women in Cambodia being trapped in abusive situations. To compound the issue, the lack of social welfare and general social security systems means that women have very few options when faced with domestic violence and abuse.
Strey Khmer is seeking to expand the access to justice for victims and to provide economic independence in order for them to survive trauma. Our staff members regularly go out into the provinces to identify women beneficiaries and to look at ways to improve women's status within their families and community.
Every year over 4,000 women and girls in Cambodia are victims of gender-based violence. Please help us in donating new or “gently used” laptops for our field coordinators to continue their important work of identifying and helping those women and girls vulnerable to sexual exploitation.
