What's the point?

Sometimes do you ever wonder "What's the point?" I am always on a quest for professional self-development: attending conferences, workshops, courses, working, volunteering you name it. Apart from the high I get from doing this, and the fact that I want to, I sometimes wonder "What's the point?" Do other activists ever feel like this? Like when you cannot see the tangible end to what you are doing and all your efforts ... hmmm
