Introducing myself and my journal: just a small town girl

About Me:
I am a college graduate with a degree in elementary education who is struggling to find a teaching job. My friends and family are a great support to me and I cherish them. I am new to this women empowerment movement but feel strongly to help support it. I have just finished reading Half the Sky, and The Lost Road Innocence, both of those books touched me deeper than I thought they would. I want to become more involved with volunteering and helping in any ways I can.

My Passions:
gymnastics, education, reading, knowing

My Challenges:
to have a strong voice

My Vision for the Future:
education for every child

My Areas of Expertise:
gymnastics and teaching

You are well on your way...

... to empowerment, as far as I can see, Rachel. It sounds like you have dedicated yourself pretty passionately to teaching and educating. This is absolutely the right place for you. Welcome!

Those books you mentioned sound fascinating and looks like they had a powerful impact on you. Maybe you wil share more of your thoughts on them in your journal? I would love to read that.

I just came across your profile. looking forward to reading more.
