happy and curious to be here

Hi,
Thank u for the warm welcome. I had to register, pulse community your motto is my motto. To speak with my own voice, having my own body as the warranty and the prove of my commitment is the only way I know. It pose each of us in front of the unique question: am I ready to step out of the crowd...

today I am going to talk about Bosnia Herzegovina to a group of 60 foreigner younger. This for me means a feminist perspective on ethno-nationalism and the abuse of religion(s).

see and read u soon

I joined this community for

I joined this community for similar reasons. I am here in searching for possibilties. I was exploring members from different countries. I am so glad I crossed your profile.

The question "Am I ready to step out of the crowd?" is a powerful question. Yes! I can when I have mindset or the role of an educator, a teacher, a mother, a daughter, a sister...hmmm, I have a challenge. I don't think I know how as Amei. I was always told it was not my place to voice my thoughts and I have learnt to surpress!

I want to voice my thoughts, my view and my beliefs not of the dominant! I think I fear the unknown the fear itself I suppose!

I am Amei, born in Maldives and was a teacher/lecture/educator in Maldivian education until 2005 and living in Sydney at present. Now, I am learning to represent me, my voice and in expressing my thoughts to represent others who's thoughts, views and passions are in line with mine. I am learning, searching and planning my future. I have two kids (girl/boy) and an independent mother.

Looking forward to read more of your work and learn how to overcome fear itself.

Warm regards
Amei
