A Helping Hand

Though we are different and apart
We all need one another
Just like a pair of scissors
That must grind at each other
To cut at a piece of clothe.

Let us put aside our differences
Those divisive inferences
All of us need the support and love
We are here, no need to look above
Now that we are near.

Let us not look at our weaknesses
Let us look at our combined strength
Win or lose let us look at the bigger picture
And not at our down fall
For we need each other
Just like a pair of scissors.

MY WRITING

I don't know why. But I have a feeling that whatever I write is because I have shared with people what I write as I teach them creative writing. This means that the more you share the more learn. I am soon going to share a piece of my brown bread. Maybe, just maybe, the bread company may just endorse me for a year supply of bread. Then I will share butter (oh I have just realized I don't have butter, neither do I have a clue how this looks like. Can somebody help me with this one?

Partnership

James,
What a great poem! Working together, maybe even at times in friction, we can accomplish great things. I look forward to more men reaching out in partnership and unity to our sisters.

Good luck getting the year of bread, I like your entrepreneurship! Here's an image of some award winning, Rose Valley brand butter from my local area in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, USA. ((Maybe I can get a year of that butter?!)) http://rose-valley.org/pix/hm_butter.gif

BUTTER AND BREAD

Scott,

I wish you could get a preview of a book I am writing about why men need to fear women! Give me a sec, will ya? It is a book about women and men, and much more. I am enjoying writing it and I hope to get it published soon. I am open to working together, since its the only way my bread will get butter. If you have ever eaten a piece of brown bread without butter you will agree that it feels like eating a lump of unseasoned (how does someone season sand?) sand.

I am so passionate about women's issues I decided to work with a group of young girls. What started as a joke has become a big thing and I am getting overwhelmed. That means I should earn from my writing to support this group. Anyway, I apologize for taking lots of your time. I planned to thank you for your comments. I hope you have forgiven me. Hope to hear from you.

Regards,

James Ouma
