Building Partnership for success

Dear All, A quick note to share with you the strength of working together. In the past 16 or so weeks I have had the privilege of learning from and working with Direct Relief International (DRI). They not only work across disciplines and boarders, they also facilitate the building of sustainable processes. Getting immunizations to Leogane may seem simple, but the balancing, diplomacy, complexity of multi-national relationships and persistence required for even a small aid effort is remarkable. I wanted to introduce Dan Smith, Senior Program Officer (Latin America, Caribbean) for DRI; I had the great pleasure and good fortune to visit their warehouse in Santa Barbara in May and saw some of our vaccine supplies that would be going with us to Leogane. It is all about relationships. I am very proud of both DRI and the honor to work with them.
