Sweden and gender equality
This article in the New York Times on parental leave and gender equality in Sweden makes me want to move there! Hoorah for Sweden for actually being constructive about masculinity and creating a new standard which benefits families, mothers and fathers. Finally!

May we all fall in Sweden's
May we all fall in Sweden's progressive footsteps. But instead of moving there, though it would be nice, fight for gender equality here in the U.S. We need your voice and your enthusiasm to lead the way for us to gear towards more gender equality!
It is different from my country
Sweden and Finland are almost the same, I met a Finnish lady who said that there is no difference between the roles of father and mothers I was surprised, a father can wash plates and cook? She said yes, then I replied that it is different from Nigeria.
Thanks Rachael, good woman.

3 cheers
The Scandinavian countries have been very active on both gender quality issues and on the environment and sustainability issues -- two subjects close to my heart. Maybe I will join you there Rachael :0

without government policy there is no change
Just read the article -- and it is the one point I have been making again and again. Here even in the most progressive of societies as sweden is -- the grassroots campaign, and social enlightenment did not work! A policy had to be made and enforced -- and then the social mindset followed suite!
In India (see my genocide article) -- I don't why people think that grassroots campaign is going to stop female genocide!
