Hi! I am a new mother. I want to connect with other mothers who are acting up, too. How can we get the word out about this group and start some juicy conversations?

I am game to work on and support poverty alleviation projects which promote financial independence among orphans and/or child led families. I'm carving out some time in my life to devote to this and am seeking a worthy project to commit to.

ideas of how to act up over the holidays
with the world economy in shambles and the holidays coming, I am looking for some creative ways that my family can make a difference for other during the holiday season. I would like to involve our kids ages 4, 8 and 11. I would welcome any ideas.

Do you know Entrepreneurs Foundation in the Bay Area? Check out this link for ideas about alleviating hunger. The ideas are geared for companies, but I thought you might glean some ideas for your family.

What I like about working with your local food pantry is that feeding people provides a tangible service and, as you know, it opens up the conversation to discuss root causes of hunger: just the fact that for some families that it is a choice between putting a roof over their head or food on their table.
This was just an immediate thought that came to mind.
