Introducing myself and my journal: Life

About Me:
I am a cheerful and fun-loving 18 year old girl, who has just started to learn about the ways of life. Having been surrounded by a group of lovely people all throughout my life, I never realized the hardships faced by the girls of my age in the other part of the world. Now when I am being exposed to foreign world, I feel that I have been lucky enough to have such people around me. I have started appreciate everyone and feels very grateful to them for being there for me.
However, I have also realized that everyone is not lucky like me and so I hope to make this world a better place for the young children especially the girls.

You are our first member from Bhutan! We are eager to hear about women's issues in your country and more about your experience growing up as a girl in Bhutan.

And of course it is wonderful to see that you're a student at AUW. Every women I have met from this university has been a blessing to our community and I imagine this must be a powerful place for learning, surrounded in young women from all parts of Asia who all have something in common - a large vision for themselves, for the people of their country, and for the world.
