Introducing myself and my journal: Writing right and writing wrongs

About Me:
I am a journalist and philanthropist intent on exploring the world! I am a former staff writer for The Wall Street Journal writing on real estate, art, travel and sociology-cultural trends. I brim with ideas about journalism and charitable giving, my two passions. I spent a chunk of my childhood in France and am a lifelong francophile. I live in Brooklyn with my boyfriend and my dog.

Hi Christina,

I know you must be experiencing so many wonderful things right now in India and I wish you a fruitful journey! There is only one member that I can think of whose work is based in Kerala:

Heather Murphy is a young woman from the US who runs a micro-finance women's initiative for women in Kerala:

But I must introduce you also to Subhadra Khaperde who lives in Indore, India. She is a Dalit woman who empowers the rural women in her community to challenge oppressive societal norms. Together they have won many battles including securing forest and water rights and shutting down dozens of illegal liquor stores that feed alcohol abuse among their husbands. She is amazing and I have learned so much from her - I encourage you to connect!

Enjoy your trip!

In friendship,

Your Adventure!

Hi Christina -
So wonderful to "meet" you here in our community! I hope your travels are full of adventure. When are you back stateside? I am in NYC in June 14-18. Love to meet up if you have a window in your schedule to talk shared passions in journalism and women's empowerment worldwide.
In partnership,
