Karibu! (welcome)!

Welcome here! I would love to hear more from you about the pads project and how it all started! Maybe we could borrow a leaf over here!

Love from Kenya,

Hello Madeleine,

I'm Anne-christine (d'Adesky), a co-founder of PulseWire with Jensine and a longtime women's advocate as well as journalist. I was working in Rwanda for a while but recently turned back to Haiti post the Jan. 12 earthquake, where my father was born. I launched a new group that is actually housed at PulseWire, PotoFanm+Fi, and we are a group of mostly Haitian diaspora and feminist advocates. We've launched a first campaign - to help get more 'Dignity Kits' to help women in the camps. They also need underwear. I know from past reading that Luna Pads has an advocacy campaign for Africa, related to helping girls stay in school (that's fab!) and I wonder if we could discuss our new campaign, possibly do some partnering and visioning about what we hope to do with/for Haiti. I love your company and the vision and would be so happy to do something like this to make Luna Pads more visible in Haiti and globally too.

My bigger, bolder vision is to see if there's any way to put in place a manufacturing /income gen program for newly disabled Haitian women and I just thought of disposable sanitary pads after looking at what people make. But if Luna has that type of vision - global partners in manufacturing - I'd love to discuss too.

Ideally, I'd love to do 'matching' type fundraising for donations including in-kind donations of this campaign called 'Action for Dignity'. The campaign is just starting and I'm hoping to really work hard to bring in various partners and also focus on the messaging regarding women's dignity and rights to be free of sexual violence. I was in Haiti twice - just back recently.

If this sounds possible, can you email. I'm out of town this weekend but back on Wed the 23rd.
