Happy to see the sisters speaking for themselfves!

It is my first time to visit WorldPulse. I find it an inspiring place to enable half of the people in the world to speak out their voices and pursue their interests.

Women have been less represented in high positions for ages. It is everyone's responsibility to reduce discrimination against women.

I am a graduated student in China, studying Science, Technology and Society. Human rights for women are of great importance and worth studying. More reading and thinking is needed to figure out how science and technology shape the role of women in modern world.

Time is up. So much for today and hope to see more happy sisters!

Huan ying. Welcome.

It is a joy to welcome you to our community. We only have a handful of members from China and so, are interested in hearing more from your beautiful country. I hope you will encourage your friends to join PulseWire so that we may learn more about the issues that women face in China. Here, you will find women who have dared to speak out and are making connections crossing oceans, continents, and cultural barriers to change the way we live. Stories are being told, movements are being started and laws are being reformed as lives are transformed. You are now a member of this vibrant community and I look forward to reading more about your passions, ideas, concerns and dreams. I know that you will find this to be a positive experience.

Voices, such as your own, have transformed lives and I look forward to reading more from you. Here, you can never speak too loudly or say too much. Your words ring out and bring ideas to life. You can empower others who have been hesitant to speak and show them that indeed, together we can create a future where anything could be possible. Again, welcome and thank you for joining PulseWire.

Ni hao,

Welcome to PulseWire. We are thrilled to have you as a new member in our thriving community of women who are lifting their voices in the name of empowerment and connecting across borders to make positive change for women everywhere!

As Janice mentioned, it is especially exciting to have a voice to represent issues in China, as we do not have many members from your country in our community.

I lived in Kunming, Yunnan Province two years ago, teaching English at a university and fell in love with the culture and the people of China. And I also sensed a need for women to be empowered, especially women living in the countryside. I was so amazed by all of my female students - who were by far the brightest in my classes and the most anxious to learn. So I sense that female leadership is rising.

I encourage you to use your journal as a place to further introduce yourself, your work and your passions to the PulseWire community. Think of your journal as a blog, where you can speak your mind and reach an audience of over 4000 women and supporters of women's initiatives. Check out what others are writing about in Voices Rising. I think that you will find PulseWire to be an exciting place to garner support, make connections and share your story!

Warm regards,
