beautiful. just something to share....
a lovely group of ladies from Vancouver. enjoy.
I saw your entry and thought of saying hello. How have you been? I miss your joy! How did your activities turn out? I never got word on how many kids you were hosting at school, and I remembered only now, when I saw your face in Voices Rising.
Tell me all!

What good timing! I was just thinking of you before I came on line and was going to send you a note. Well, it is good to know we are connected!
I haven't had a chance to do the South American portion of the workshop yet. We are doing it on Monday. I have been so busy this week so I haven't had a chance to make up the program. We have been learning about children around the world, and I am going to make the recipes this week that you sent me at Christmas time (which I haven't had a chance to make yet because they already had their program ready....) And I am not sure what else. Can you give me any ideas for activities or simple games the kids could learn that children would play in Bolivia? We have a fairly small group, about 10 children, and the workshops are only an hour long, so time goes extremely fast. I just make sure they know what area of the world we are talking about, and then we do a story about an issue affecting children in that area of the world.
I am finally beginning to feel much better during this pregnancy, as I am now almost 27 weeks. A little out of breath, but the nausea is gone, thank the Lord! I have more energy for writing now and getting back into researching some issues and working on ideas for MotherKind.
Talk to you soon, thank you for sending a message it was was so good to hear from you! it is always a pleasure to receive a word from you.

A game that can be played by all children is Burning Ball. There are two teams, the number doesn´t matter. They draw a line to separate the teams and flip a coin to begin "burning". Team A, holding the ball first, starts throwing the ball to the other team to "burn" (touch with the ball) a kid from team B. The burnt kid goes to the back line of team A and if team A keeps burning, and burns all kids, team A wins. Kids get burnt when the ball touches them, but they are not burnt if they catch the ball and DON´T drop it.
Kids on team A who don´t get to touch another kid with the ball, lose their turn and team B begins throwing the ball.
Kids in the back line, are expectant to catch any ball that gets lost and if they grab it, they can burn team A!
It is lots of fun, and parents can also play. As number of players is not strict, it is a lot of fun.
Tell me everything when you get to do it!
Do you know if it is a girl or a boy? When is it due?
thank you for the suggestion, but the only thing is that we are at a centre and will be indoors. We won't be able to toss a ball back and forth and I know with the children that are coming, it would get out of hand probably. If we were able to have some space outside, or a larger indoor space that wasn't already set up already with different areas, it would work.
I will think of something... :)
I am due in July. Not sure of the sex of the baby for sure....my daughter is really, really hoping for a sister. And, of course, our son is hoping for a brother. I just hope for health for everyone, and a good sleeper. :)
talk to you soon!
Thank you for sharing this video with us. It was a lovely way to start my day.
This is one of my favorite songs on the compilation that you sent :)
You are so wonderful- keep spreading the cheer!
