Who am I?

have you ever come to a point where you really discover who you are, what you are capable of and how to conquer the fear of the unknown?
I think I am coming to that point where I realise who I really am, and how I am able to fulfill the dreams that I have.......
being a woman, a black woman for that matter, and a single mother-you realise that you have so many battles that you have to win in this world you live. The question is- 'are you ready for them and do you have the tools to fight such battles?'
For me, this becomes very fundamental if any woman wants to really embrace her woman hood and be ready to advocate for what is right for her!!!! I think I am getting to a point I can raise my head high and confidently tell myself that I am a feminist- a woman conscious of what other fellow women go through, and denouncing all forms of oppression that they face!
This is a challenge to all women who are discovering their inner self---- we need to break away from this mad world full of so many technologies and stuff that inhibit us to truly find time to reflect on who we are, where are we coming from, and where we are going....
Introspection,Introspection,introspection!! Searching for the power within is the best thing any woman can do, if we really want to end all social injustice!!

Meditation and inner-reflection
Hi Fadzie,
Thank you for reminding me today to take more time for reflection, meditation and taking a closer look at my life path. It's so important, as you say so beautifully here, in knowing ourselves and living our lives in a way that celebrates feminism and brings us closer to gender justice.
