Welcome to PulseWire! It's exciting to have women from Afghanistan join our community, as this is a country where women's voices are needed so urgently to begin healing the wounds of war and for telling the rest of the world what your needs are and what daily life is like for women.
I am a strong supporter and admirer of AIL and we are looking forward to deepening our relationship with teachers there. Please continue to speak out and use your journal to share your voice with the world!

Thank you for allowing me to correspond with you in this network. You state that your passion is "Peace for the whole humanity." I too long for peace and as we live through so much strife, pain, suffering, disease and war, I have become more and more determined that Peace is not a passive thing. It must be an active passion. I appreciate this opportunity to speak of peaceful passion or a passionate peace -- both are needed - no required in our world today. Our children are suffering from our inability to overcome the foes of fear, greed, prejudice, classism, sexism, racism. The answer is an individual one: for all selfish reasons, peace must come and love is the way. Hopefully we can discuss why and how love became a feminine trait as though to love is not manly. However, I will close here as it is getting late and as my profile states, I always have too much to do and too little time in which to do it.
I have enjoyed this short visit and hope that you will visit me as well.
