Next Book
Fellow Readers,
It's time to choose the next book for the Book Club. I know time is passing quickly, so the sooner we decide the better. I have been so wrapped up with "Half the Sky", that it's been hard to consider the next book. We can still discussion "Half the Sky" even while we are reading the next book.
I've been brainstorming, trying to think of a pertinent book for current issues and our Book Club. Haiti immediately came to mind. So I searched around and found the book "Walking on Fire: Haitian Women's Stories of Struggle and Resistance", written by Beverly Bell.

I thought, hmmm, that name sure sounds familiar. Sure enough, Beverly Bell has been writing incredible, informative entries on PulseWire, from the ground level in Haiti.
I think that it would be absolutely amazing to read this book. I think this completely encompasses the mission of this book club. To connect, to learn, to grow.
Members...what do you think?
Connecting the dots... Linking hands...
