Lifting women leaders with our voices
In the wake of the tragic earthquake in Haiti, our hearts go out to those who have lost their lives, especially grassroots women leaders like Myriam Merlet, Magalie Marcelin and Anne Marie Coriolan.
I invite you – our community and newswire – to use your journal as a place to share your thoughts, fears, insight, solutions and stories on the crisis in Haiti.
Let us come together as a community to show support for Haitians and to support each other in raising our voices. Because for many of us, our voice is the strongest tool that we have.
World Pulse is committed to helping women's leadership rise as Haitians begin the long road to re-building their lives. It starts with you!

Thanks Jade, I really appreciate your thoughtful and sencere suggestion. We Pakistanis have already confronted with the situation like this. As I worked as volunteear in the aftermath of 2005 earthquake, this situation remind me what we saw in northern Pakistan in 2005. I cant extricate myself from the community of pulsewire Lounge.

I also want to let everyone know Anne-christine D'adesky, a World Pulse contributor and member of PulseWire, is on the ground in Haiti—the country she grew up in—and contributed a story to WorldPulse.com. You can find it on the homepage, and at this link:

It would be wonderful if you commented on her story and shared words of support. I know she would take strength from hearing from the PulseWire community.
All the best,

Tragedy...
I cannot believe that one of the biggest tragedies has happened to one of the poorest countries in the world! Those pictures and all of the information from Haiti are just too horrible to be true. I hope with all my heart that everybody who can will donate to different UN agencies, that is all we can do and pray that the help will reach those who need it. Greetings to you Jade, thanks for encouraging us to share our thoughts!
