Night Sky

Last night I was looking at the night sky and realized that what I was seeing was a very, very small piece of a universe so full of stars, galaxies, solar systems and planets that I can't possible begin to imagine its size. It was like I was living on a tiny drop of water in the ocean and I couldn't see the ocean for its immense size. This planet Earth is a small planet floating around in this immense space with all the other universal creations. I, on this planet in this univerrse, am no bigger than the tinest grain of sand. How could I possibly be so arrogrant as to think I am better than anyone else? How can anyone else be so arrogant as to think they are better than me? Dominance, control, beatings, war, rape, trafficking - what's the point? It seems to me that the only reasonable explanation is love, joy, compassion and supporting others the way they want to be supported. Why not?

Life

This is strange, yesterday night, there was no light as usual and I was outside sleeping on a mat and playing with my daughters when we suddenly developed an unusual interest in the Moonlight and the stars, they were asking strange questions while I was trying to give enough answers as my little knowledge could accommodate, my little daughters were asking why there were not numerous moon like stars, I do not have answers and why it is possible that those in Australia could use the same sun as people in Nigeria, how come it is enough for all and the one star is not enough, then teh little girl now ask why stars do not fight and I SAID THAT THE STARS ARE AS NUMEROUS AS HUMAN BEINGS TOO?

WHY IS IT THAT STARS DO NOT FIGHT JUST LIKE THOSE IN JOS, PLATEAU STATE ARE FIGHTING? The older girl asked, I answered that God created stars to be loving, she asked why is it that God created men to be hateful? I said becaseu God gave us teh choice but the stars do not have any choice. The next question was taht why is it that men refused to choose living in harmony? I sent them to bed because the answer will surely bring another question.

When they left I started thinking, why do we choose not to live in harmony? It is pride, arrogance, I totally agree that if we can consider how minute we are compared to other creatures of nature we will know that some of us are going too far to dominate others and believe that we are better off, than fellow men, why will a man give me a dirty slap if he knows that we are equal, why will a woman from Benin in Nigeria gather fellow female for sale in Italy if she agrees that we are equal and she cannot sell her own daughter, why will someone put fire in another man's house?. Where is love and compassion? what of empathy?.

WP is breeding a new generation of women, who knows what will be the outcome of this gathering.
Ride on girls as WP scatters sunshine in every country represented here. MAY THIS LECTURE CONTINUE!

Lying on the mat looking up

Dearest Tosin -
What a breathtaking exchange. I feel like i am on the mat with you and your girls pondering the sky. What an ache to have their young minds puzzled by so much senseless violence. But what a balm to have such a loving, thoughtful mother and tiger such as you for their well being and safe spirits. You are one of the world's great poets and champion for women. I have your wonderful book by my bedside - and the nights when i am not too exhausted i savor a poem. You keep the fire burning, your voice a light for so many others.
All my love to you and your girls. I know one day we will meet and look out on a world that is safe for them to dance wherever they wish under the stars.

JENISNE MY ANGEL

I pray you do not experience what forces out in the middle of the night, darling, it is heat, there is no light to power my fan and no fuel to power the small generator! Do you remember my call to save Nigeria, it is relevant, you will never believe that a New GROUP led by Pro. Wole Soyinka the Nobel Laurette emerged this month and it is named Save Nigeria, I smiled when I watched them on peaceful march in Lagos. I said WORLD PULSE is more of a spiritual family than a New media technological advancement supported, whatever name we give HER.

Well done for keeping the fire burning for keeping hope alive and making sure we realize our dream, We love you so much. For the book, thanks so much, if not that way, I wouldn't have been able to publish those books. This is where dream dont die, please do your best possible to keep VOF moving, it must have a life of its own, it must breathe, it must soar and teh impact must be felt in Patigi, Kayama, Elegbeka, Ibuzor, Ifite, Jesse, Ago Panu, Arigidi Akoko, Aisegba, Ekporo, Itagi, Iragbeje, Arimogija, Kanfanchan.

OUR WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOU MY LADY!

Some great thoughts indeed.

Some great thoughts indeed. It is so clear I mean how we are a tiny speck in this universe yet we close our eyes to reality.

Thanks for the post.
