Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I am currently living between Texas and Dubai, my husband and I are both semi retired with family in the USA and business interests in Dubai. I have lived 30+ years in Dubai and consider it to be home. Like most places in the world there is a lot wrong here, but there is a whole lot more that is right, the most important aspect of living here for me is the constant contact and communication with people from all over the world. I am surrounded by inspirational women from all nationalities, cultures and beliefs.
As I approach my mid 50's however I feel that I want to spend more time encouraging the growth of other women, I currently mentor MBA students here but my plan is to eventually find a non profit organisation that I will be able to work with mentoring women in developing countries.

My Passions:
Helping other women to be all that they can be. Encouraging newcomers to Dubai to network with other Professional Women.

My Challenges:
overcoming fibromyalgia, finding the time to do all that I want to do.

My Vision for the Future:
A world where we treat each other as we wish to be treated.

My Areas of Expertise:
Small business start up, administration, basic accounting.

Hello!

Welcome to Pulsewire!

It's exciting to have you here and to learn a bit about you. We all get a little more empowered when more voices join the choir! Please feel free to share your thoughts, stories and encouragement. Hopefully you enjoy becoming a part of this global community.

Dubai seems like an interesting place to live. What an experience to see it grow so much in the last 30 years. I appreciate your interest in pursuing a non-profit to benefit female entrepreneurs in developing nations. This is a worthy endeavor and it sounds like your current and past experience will certainly propel you forward. Good luck with your plans! I look forward to seeing more of you online and hearing more of your voice.

Listen. Engage. Have Fun!

Regards,
Maria
