Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I was born in Swat a place often referred to as the Switzerland of Asia because of its tranquility and natural beauty.

I completed Master degree in journalism and Mass Communication from University of Peshawar Pakistan. Since 2005, I have working with national and international renowned Broadcasting organizations; like INTERNEWS and PACT Radio. During professional life, I worked in different areas of Radio Journalism including crises reporting, production and radio trainer. I tried to highlight the socio-economic, cultural and historical issues in Swat. In November 2008, Deautsche Welle recognized my work and invited me to participate in a workshop and exhibition on the Budhist kingdom of Gandhara, in Bonn Germany. Currently I am working with PACT Radio (Pak Afghan Cross border Transmission) as Station Manager/Zonal Coordinator. I am responsible to lead live radio staff including 10 producers and 21 reporters in the target areas. I am supervising daily editorial meeting among Pakistan and Afghanistan offices to ensure organization policy and program quality. Pact Radio is broadcasting eight hours daily Pashto transmission from cross border areas, that’s why I am fully aware about cross border issues.

The establishment of FM radio station in militant controlled area of Swat is one of my professional achievements at the peak of Swat insurgency in order to counter militant radios propaganda.

My Areas of Expertise:
Crises Reporting

Hi Adnan,

We welcome you with open arms to our community of women and supporters of women's initiatives who are lifting their voices in the name of empowerment and connecting across borders to make positive change for women everywhere!

I am really interested to hear more about your work with PACT Radio and so admire what you're doing in rural Pakistan to offer people an alternative to propaganda and extremism. Amazing initiative!

I encourage you to use your journal as a place to further introduce yourself and your work to the PulseWire community. Think of your journal as a blog, where you can speak your mind, garner support and reach an audience of over 3500 people who are passionate to create real global change.

I'd also like to introduce you to some members who are working in Pakistan and abroad to accomplish similar goals. I hope that these members can provide you with some opportunities to collaborate. You can reach them by making a comment on their journal, adding them to your community or sending a private message.
