Happy New Year!
Hello lovely ladies!
A happy new year! Hoping that everyone had a lovely holiday and welcomed 2010 in style. Well, we have all gone silent since the program ended. Yes, we must have gone back to our busy schedules and forgotten about the seed that we planted... the VOF group. But then, how will we mentor others and create a chorus of voices for change if we we stop sharing, shouting at the roof tops here? How can we be role models to the next VOF group if we recoil back in our original corners? Well, these are just some of the questions that i kept asking myself as i ushered in 2010. I have so far made a resolution to keep on sharing for social change. I hope you will join me..
Well, it is the first day of work in the new year and for Kenyans, the year has started on a sad note due to a strike in the public transport. Imagine how it can be trekking long distances to the office on the very first day of the new year... I have shared this at http://www.worldpulse.com/node/16603. And Kenya has spent decades and tax payers money in the search for a new constitution without success. The review process has been in progress and the public was given a chance to submit their views on what they think should be included in the constitution. Find out more at http://www.worldpulse.com/node/16606 on why a large percentage of women were left out in the public debate.
I hope we make this 2010 resolution together..
Much love,
Joanne.

In Solidarity
Thank you, Joanne
I agree with you, we must nurture the seed we planted, so that it flourishes and feeds many far and wide.
Your country is going through the same painful processes we are facing as Zimbabweans - coming up with a new and people's constitution. My prayers with you as we (Kenya and Zimbabwe) journey on the constitution-making process together, and as we (Joanne and Martha) join with fellow VOF pioneers in sharing the "wealth" we have gained through World Pulse.
Take care
Martha

Voted!!!
Dear Joanne,
the idea is really great...
what is missing (maybe for me) is those assignements we were getting and tasks and the spirit of competition.
Indeed, the VOF baby was born and now it is our time to feed it and make it grow...
Let's find a strategy...

Happy New Year Joanne!!!
I applaud you for taking the lead here and rallying the VOF Correspondents to activate their voices. Because honestly, I have so missed your voices, your amazing journals that open windows to your worlds, and the dialogue between each of you that is so beautiful to witness - as women from all corners of the world supporting each other and coming together to make real change!
I welcome you back to PulseWire with open arms and have so enjoyed reading your latest journals which bring us urgent news from Kenya.
Lots of love to you in the New Year!
Hugs,
Jade
