Hi My name is Jinder and I just want to make a difference in the world, my New Years resolution is to make this happen, first step is joining World Pulse.

I read a book called " Half The Sky " and it changed my life and the way I think about things.

Thanks for your welcome Victoria, I am really looking forward to being part of a group of people who feel strongly about making the world a better place. I will put thte book you suggested on my list and get it from my library. I love reading and go through alot of books, the book i was talking about was actually recommended by Angelina Jolie to read in a magazine I was going through. My daughters are reading it right now. I feel you become a better person and less self centered after reading what other women have to put up with.

Thanks Fatima, I am off on holidays now till Jan 4th so will have lots of time to explore Pulsewire, I look forward to making new friends who have the same goals I do :)

The book is called " Half the Sky" - Turning oppression into opportunity for women worldwide. Its by Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn who are both Pulitzer Prize winners.

I got it from the library and want to buy it but all the stores have sold out of it so will try in Jamuary.
I am telling everyone I now about it as its an amazing book about the women and girls of the world and the struggles they face.
