The Tap Project

The Tap Project (UNICEF):

Beginning Sunday, March 16 through Saturday, March 22, restaurants will invite their customers to donate a minimum of $1 for the tap water they would normally get for free. For every dollar raised, a child will have clean drinking water for 40 days.

The list of participating restaurants is available on the website.

Thanks, Ankur :)

For those of you celebrating World Water Week in the Bay Area, consider supporting the Tap Project by coming out for music and dance March 20 at Mezzanine!

Here's the info from Laughing Squid:

Please come to a night of great music and fabulous people at Mezzanine on Thursday, March 20th, benefiting Unicef's Tap Project. Why? Because the lack of clean drinking water is one of the most urgent health crises facing the planet today. During World Water Week (March 16-22) hundreds of restaurants in San Francisco and the Bay Area, home to some of the best tap water on the planet, will invite their patrons to pay $1 for something they normally get for free…a glass of tap water. $1 gives a child clean drinking water for 40 days.
