Be Published: Tell Us Your Story about Water, Clearcutting, Mining, Water, or Oil

World Pulse wants to hear from you! In our next print edition, themed "Earth," we're exploring the impact of environmental degradation on women across the globe, as well as the solutions women are developing in response to increasing devastation.

The editorial team is turning to the PulseWire community—our newswire—to listen to the stories of women on the ground who have been impacted by any of the following:

• Water scarcity
• Deforestation (Clearcutting)
• Mining
• Oil extraction

Do you have a story about any of the above that you want to be heard? Has your community been impacted by any of the issues above, or have you personally felt the impact of one of these issues on your life? Are you one of the many women on the ground working on environmental issues caused by mining, clearcutting, water scarcity, or oil extraction? If so, we want to hear from you.

Tell us your story—in your own words—for a chance to have it told in print. We're looking for narratives that are personal, powerful, and that illustrate the importance of acting now to curb the impact these issues are having on the earth and on women across the world. Priority will be given to women who have first-hand experiences with the issues above.

Why Participate

We're dedicated to listening to and broadcasting the unheard voices and innovative solutions of women worldwide. By participating, you have a chance to have your story heard by women, men, and decision-makers who care about global issues. Your story has the potential to change the way we think about these issues, and to effect real change.

Why Participate

Submit your story on PulseWire via your personal journal no later than January 1, 2009. In the tag field, enter the term Earth Emergency so that we know you're submitting the story in response to this call to action. Please do not exceed 600 words. We encourage people to submit early!

Help Us Spread the Word!

We're committed to hearing from as many women as possible. Please help us spread the word by passing this invitation along to women you know who would be interested in sharing their personal stories about and solutions to issues related to oil, water, mining, or deforestation.
