Introducing myself and my journal: Access to Education!

About Me:
I am the founder of Global Education Fund, a nonprofit that improves the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children around the world through education. To date, GEF has delivered support (libraries, textbooks, scholarships, leadership program) to children in more than twenty countries. After retiring from GEF in 2007, I started a consulting business that works with NGOs to evaluate programs and set up monitoring systems in-country. In my work, I use the three universal questions; are we doing what we said we would do? are we making a difference? are we doing the right thing? Please feel free to use these universal questions in the work that you do!

My Passions:
Education, leadership, small business loans

My Challenges:
Monitoring and Evaluating

My Vision for the Future:
I envision a world in which all children have access to education.

My Areas of Expertise:
Evaluating programs for NGOs and setting up in-country monitoring systems.

Welcome Eliza,

It is nice to have you here.we girls here in Kenya really need help to continue with our education.I work hard to make sure that the orphans from our childrens' Home get Education.his year we had eight candidates and they may not afford to go to secondary school.I also sat for my exams this year and i am sure i will pass the exams but my parents may not be able to do my shopping and also to pay my school fees.i am asking for any help that i and the orphans can get.

Thank you and i would also love to be your friend.I am also inviting you to our group World AIDS orphans http://www.worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/1956 where we can share ideas on how to help the orphans of the world.

Welcome!

Welcome to PulseWire, Eliza!

We are so happy to have you here! I would like to thank you for the work you do helping children around the world gain the opportunities they deserve. There are many here on on PulseWire who share your passion for education and youth development. You can link up with them by doing a search for "youth" in the Member Directory under the PulseWire tab on the PulseWire home page. Also, you might be interested in joining the group called Education for Life (www.worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/2397) which advocates education for orphans just as you do!

If there is anything I can help you with, please let me know and I will try to steer you in the right direction. Again, welcome. I can't wait to read more about your work and experiences with Global Education Fund and hope you'll introduce this organization to the community.

Best wishes,

Emily
