Fragile Nepal - Exclusive Dinner Event
To mark the Nepal Nature Conservation Year 2009 and raise funds for the vital conservation work needed to safeguard this remarkable region and its fragile ecosystems, ZSL and the UK Trust for Nature Conservation in Nepal are hosting a very special evening on Tuesday 24 November 2009 at ZSL London Zoo.
Join us for a drinks reception, delicious buffet dinner, presentations, and Nepali entertainment, as well as the opportunity to bid for money-can’t-buy items in our silent auction.
The stunning Himalayas and floodplains of Nepal are amongst the most spectacular and important natural environments on our planet.
They conserve precious forests, wildlife, rivers and wetlands, as well as the unique culture and lifestyle of Nepal’s people.
However, rising global temperatures and degraded environments are threatening these incomparable natural resources.
To reserve your places, which cost £100 each, please complete and return the booking form to Pippa King at ZSL with your payment.

November 24th event in London
Can't attend since I live in Portland, Oregon. Best wishes to you for a successful and enjoyable event. On my end, I will be participating on that same day at one of my volunteer jobs which assists low income, seasonal and service workers, which mostly includes migrant farmworkers. Being that it is the Thanksgiving week in the US, we will be involved in a Turkey and Holiday Food Distribution event in the local farmworker community and I'm sure that will be a worthwhile event too!
Best regards,
Kelsang Shakya
Good luck
Hi kelsang
Thank you for the reply. Actually, i am not the one organizing the fundraiser. My mentor at WorldPulse sent me the link, and i posted it for everyone to see. I hope there are people who go, and make it a success.
Its great to hear about your plans, they sound great. I wish you luck with the distribution and it certainly will be a worthwhile event!
