Introducing myself and my journal: Treespire

About Me:
I am a certified Permaculturalist and Yoga Teacher and I have decided to embark on a quest/pilgrimage/self-financed journey to India! Here is my tentative plan: I will start out as a volunteer planting trees in the temperate Sadhana Forest in Auroville, outside of Pondicherry, in the south of India. From there I will migrate far north to Rishikesh, in the Himalayas, where I will devote time to practicing yoga as a student at Parmarth Niketan ashram, where my yoga teacher studied. Finally, not far from Rishikesh, in Dehradun, I have arranged an internship for myself at Navdanya, a ecological research center founded by Dr. Vandana Shiva, to work on sustainable agriculture and women's land rights.

My Passions:
trees, yoga, writing, breathing, dance, meditation, peace, art, earth

My Vision for the Future:
peace and joy and liberty!

My Areas of Expertise:
web design, writing, journalism, collage, art, gardening/growing

A warm welcome!

I'm so glad you found our community and I hope you will share with us some stories from your upcoming adventure--it sounds exciting! Another new member on PulseWire recently started a micro-loans program in India and has been posting dispatches about her experiences there. You should check out her journal!

I'd also like to invite you to share a personal story about land as part of our new My Story program. Some of the responses will be published in the spring edition of World Pulse magazine. Check out the program details if you are interested, and tell us, what does Land mean to YOU?

If you have any questions about the community, let me know and I will try and get you started. I look forward to seeing more from you on PulseWire!

Be well,
