Another late one for me...
Mine is going to be a bit late too. For the WWII that research is going good but I have not found a person yet to write about. I guess it is called 'background' that I have gathered so far so am still hoping to find someone to write about.
And that new angle is going very slowly as well. I haven't heard back from that one group I contacted yet so am hoping I hear from them this coming week sometime. That is one I hope to write up someday soon but getting the information will take me a bit longer.
I discovered something else too, about my writing and myself that interests me to try to figure out. I always thought it was a strength of mine that I think I can write to appeal to a western mind. A few have said I don't talk about my experiences and I only today realized when talking with someone else that they meant I sound like a non-native...and might be why I am finding it slow going... I have to admit it is true to some extent so am wondering about that tonight. I grew up in a western city and I guess it shows.
All of mine have been late I think so far so don't mind I wont be considered for the thing since it was the journey with everyone that I loved taking. It is funny since I had planned to have this one completed on time for once! ahh well...

Dear Maria,

The girls are doing good and as supportive as ever. It is funny since I researched a ton and read a lot of stuff but it is hard to find someone to write their story. I do understand how hard that type of thing is to talk about from seeing it firsthand with my own mother. I think she gave only a few interviews and the one I remember is for a french one and I guess it was easier for her to talk knowing it would be published in French. I was thinking of contacting my eldest brother and sister and seeing if they would mind me writing up one on mom and the things she told me. It was all in bits and pieces though. So I was thinking of trying to write up the things she mentioned and see if they mind me putting it into a story. It is one I planned on doing when I feel my writing is much better though...
Good luck with yours!

Maria
Hi Maria
Many times women have to do miracles to fulfill their dreams. It is never easy. But please remember that writing here is worth it, to speak up in all areas, and feel our support to very end. This is a community where women of all kinds, races, thinking, religions and identities have a place.
I always state that women's hearts are big enough to hold many identities inside of them, and you are entitled to have many identities, it is not a sin, it is a fact that we can do that. You have the right class of hearts, the generous kind, that is what makes you different and so valuable.

That is sweet of you to say! I agree that a woman's heart can hold so much. I guess it was feeling embarrassed to be late again when I wanted so much for it to be on time for once!

Maria
I agree
Dearest Maria,
I agree with all of the above. Ina comment on another journal, Jackie also described this place, our pulsewire as a temple of freedom. I liked that so much I wanted to share it with you. Here we are free to be exactly who we are. And at heart Maria, whether this much native, or that much American, you are a beautiful person always here to inspire and motivate others, to support and encourage all of our voices and to nurture our hearts and spirits whenever they feel low.
Keep writing! You can do this!
Tina
Hi there!
I agree with that idea of it as a temple of freedom, how we can share our voices with each other. I have enjoyed it and learned so much from everyone. I always tell the girls how glad I am that they can't see me sitting here since I sometimes just have to stop and smile and think to myself "Wow, I am actually talking to someone from ____!"

Maria

The research part is mostly done for the WWII angle and it is mainly finding some or even one woman to write about her experience of it. I hope to get it done soon.
I also can't wait to write up that new angle too, but not sure how long that will take me to meet and talk to people though...

Maria
