Introducing myself and my journal: The Wanderer

About Me:
I am an Egyptian living currently in Sudan with my husband and baby daughter. I am pursuing my masters degree in gender and women studies in the American University in Cairo. I've always felt strongly about womens' issues in Arab societies, specifically Egypt but I have no idea what I can do to make things better or where to go to help in any way I can.

So glad you're here!

Hi Yasmine,

Welcome to PulseWire! We are thrilled to have you as a new member in our thriving community of women who are lifting their voices in the name of empowerment and connecting across borders to make positive change for women everywhere!

I am so interested to hear about your studies in gender and women studies at the American University in Cairo. And what brought you and your family to Sundan! Do you know Kizzie, a dear PulseWire member who is from Sudan and living in Cairo and a recent graduate from your university?

I encourage you to use your journal as a place to introduce yourself, your work and your passions to the PulseWire community. Think of your journal as a blog, where you can speak your mind and reach an audience of nearly 3000 women and supporters of women's initiatives. I think that you will find PulseWire to be an exciting place to garner support, make connections and share your story!

Looking forward to hearing more from you here on PulseWire!

Warm regards,
