Introducing myself and my journal: Food for Thought

About Me:
My passion is exploring the amazing world we live in and meeting the incredible people who share it. I have lived and traveled in Asia for the past 20 years, and during my travels I saw the plight of women struggling to provide even the basic necessities for their families and their children. I was so inspired by the strength and grace of the women I met that I was compelled to establish a project that would improve the lives of marginalized women around the world. My goal is to provide economic opportunities that draw on their natural skills, talents and culture as well as provide micro-loans that enable them to develop sustainable business projects.

My Passions:
travel, design, making a difference in women's lives

My Challenges:
Seed funding for my new non-profit

My Vision for the Future:
I envision a world where every woman can dream of a better life for herself, her family and community, and be supported and empowered to create it.

We are so glad you've found PulseWire and jumped right into the community! I am eager to hear more about your plans for The Global Kitchen. Micro-loans are such an amazing way to assist women in empowering themselves. We have some members here who are experts in this. I encourage you to connect with them and learn from their work!
