Elections in Kenya

I went to vote about 90 km away from here. Counting is just starting and there is a lot of open rigging and dishonesty, and chaos, bloodshed and death.

All members of the family are not planning to sleep tonight. We are witnessing the counting of votes on TV.

It is midnight. During the elections,we had overseers from the US and the European Union...

What is happening today cannot be compared to what happened years ago. Actually, this is the second time that a president is being voted in. We are improving in terms of democracy though not nearing perfection.

Many voters registers were missing in various polling stations. People in Raila's stronghold areas were getting text messages with the propaganda: Don't bother yourself going to vote. 500 000 votes have been rigged in, as was witnessed by Obama in the internet.

The votes are still being counted...Raila Odinga is still winning while Kibaki follows....

How exciting to hear about the elections as they happen, straight from where they happen! So glad you were able to get this post onto PulseWire.

It sounds like it was dangerous for you to cast your vote, and I think you're really brave for standing up for what you belive in. Which candidate are you hoping gets voted in?

I can't wait to hear the follow-up about what the counting reveals, and I will hope that things work out in your favor!

Yes, thank you for sharing

Yes, thank you for sharing an inside look. The text message propaganda is very disturbing.
