My Disobedient Feet!

My feet were disobedient

They must have done what i did not ask them to

I meant to use my hands

At the polling station

To vote in somebody

But they must have done, what i did not ask them to

I can feel it

They kicked out the old president

Really i didn't ask them to

Because i only meant to use my hands

But it's okay if they did.

thanks for posting!

Leigh, I am so glad you found your way to the poetry group! I'm sorry membership was closed, that wasn't intentional! I'm so excited to see your writing turn up here, and I hope you continue to post as the urge strikes you.

We seem to have a lot in common between this love of knitting and this love of poetry!

Thank you for helping to get this group started—I hope to see more people contributing their writing soon! Poetry is such a powerful tool.

I'm curious, how long have you been writing? Would you be comfortable sharing more with us?

Incredible Poem

I love the imagery in this poem of you using your body to make change happen. Your voice is so strong and fierce!
