Feature Story Anlge

Dearest all,

I have one angle with two subheadings for my feature story.
I want to discuss the issue of intimidating women in Sudan and efforts to silence them through creating an atmosphere of inferiority and fear; politically and culturally, and how women united to find a way through and fulfill their dreams.

Would you mind have a quick look and comment (if possible). I would be grateful.

Wishing you all the best,

Halima

Hi Halima

I think the angle is great, as Sudanese women have a lot to tell us about being hushed through fear. I can't wait to see your story! I know it will be great.

I am so proud of you. I love being the star's beloved friend! Because girl, you are a star.

Hugs and love,

Jackie

Very interested in this topic

dearest Halima,
I am excited about this topic as it is something we know little about in the West, for the very reason that women are intimidated into being silent. I would also be interested to see how religion plays into this as it seems that there have been cases when the Qur'an has been used as a "manifesto" for how women should act, dress and conduct themselves. I look forward to your story and know it will be compelling reading. Best wishes,
Janice

Edgy topic

Hi Halima,

This is an excellent topic. The little I know of what its like to be a journalist in Sudan, especially for women, I have learned from you and understand that it is a very dangerous lifestyle. We can look at Lubna's story as a prime example. Of course I am concerned for you safety, but in the name of truth and of journalism - you have chosen a very interesting topic.

Thinking about you...

Hugs,
Jade

Thorny road

Dearest Jade,

Journalism in Sudan is a thorny road.Going back is painful as well as going forward. So the best way is keeping going ahead.
Thank you for sharing this comment.
