Do you have any New Year's resolutions?

It's a common question: Do you have any New Year's resolutions? I thought I'd pose it to this intelligent, active group, whose goals aren't just things like losing weight!

My main resolution is to feel freer, rather than to act out of habitual thought patterns and actions.

I also will:
-Keep exploring personal connections between Eastern spiritual philosophies and my life goals and activism
-Practice yoga and meditation more regularly
-Develop new friendships with funny, intelligent women

Great goals, Julie!

Please let us know how the community can support you! I personally greatly admire your commitment to challenging your own patterns of thought. It's an ongoing effort for me, too--one that's challenging, thrilling and invariably rewarding.

Other than that, here are the commitments I'm making:

1. Shift about 10% of the time and energy I spend working to deepening personal relationships with my family, friends and colleagues.

2. Shift another 10% to self-care and self-awareness through yoga, reiki and leadership coaching.

3. Planning, planning and more planning. (in my professional activities, not my personal.)

Best of luck to you as you strive for self-improvement!

I love your resolution to feel freer—it encompasses so much!

I too am resolving to practice yoga and to be more mindful in the coming year, in general. Maria has the right idea with self-care and self-awareness! For me that means a lot of journaling and reading as well.

And of course, I want to deepen my connections with those around me and those that I have been introduced to on PulseWire....

Here's to a happy and healthy 2008!
