David Bohl of Slow Down Fast shared some great insight this evening that is worth repeating. If you don't have time to listen to the show, here are some red flags to look for that indicate you might be going too fast:

a. No time for personal life

b. Overburdened at work

c. Headaches, trouble getting up in the morning, etc.

We all know that we cannot recapture those lost moments. Wanting to live every day to the fullest is what inspires David, a former 100-hour-a-week venture capitalist, to slow down and enjoy life. How can you accomplish this, too? Check out David's STALL method:

Stop - Start by giving yourself permission to stop for a moment. Not just slow down, but stop long enough to figure out what you want!

Think - What do you value?

Act - Take charge of your life.

Liberate - Get rid of people and things that aren't worth your time and energy.

Live - Every day!

Too busy, bored or unsatisfied is no way to live. Once you've determined what it is, exactly, that you want, begin working toward it by asking "what can I do today?" In fact, I suggest beginning each day with that question.

If you would like help reaching your goals, David and I are here to help! Contact David at www.slowdownfast.com, and contact me at www.jobyoudeserve.com.

Got me thinking

Thanks, this got me thinking! Now I just have to figure out what it is I want!

Do you feel it in your bones?!!?

Hi Rebecca,

I used to think "in the bones" was the dumbest phrase on Earth, but then I realized that the career I had been pursuing for the last 5 years didn't feel that way. This experience was one of many that led me to become a career coach.

Now I think this question is a great "acid test." No matter what you're pursuing or thinking of pursuing, you gotta really feel it and not let any other possibilities (e.g., another career option) distract you.

Just my $0.02. If you'd ever like to chat, let me know. :)
