Correspondents: You Received a Standing Ovation!

Dear Correspondents -
I have been traveling quite a bit to speak around the country and share the vision of World Pulse and Voices of Our Future, and it has been a challenge as well to find time to write!. But you are always in my heart, and I am reading your stories daily.

I wish you had all been there this weekend to hear the applause wash over you, see over 300 people jumping from their chairs clapping and cheering to celebrate your voices, and your work as correspondents. I was speaking in New York at an Omega Women and Power Conference, and I told the audience about your courageous stories, all the obstacles you face to come online, to overcome your inner doubts and speak out for your communities and lives all over the world. HUGE CHEERS!

(also - it was a highlight moment to be speaking next to Gloria Steniem, with my mother in the audience! Wow!!)

Many women also came up to me afterwards who had been touched because I also shared with the audience my own fears, and my own shyness that I had to overcome as a young girl, and still overcome, because speaking in public is a challenge for me. I realized that when you share your fears, everyone can relate to you - because we all have them. It is all worth it to see the inspiration on the faces of so many women who are so proud of ALL OF YOU, who are eager to come online to PulseWire and connect, and become a part of the PULSE of women's voices rising across the earth.

Congratulations to each and every one of you as we come closer to the completion of this first program. Your OpEds, your frontline journals are STUNNING. Each one inspires me, and every woman who reads them. They are all the more powerful knowing how many obstacles and pressures you face to complete them. These stories are just the beginning. We are building World Pulse day by day to increasingly lift your voices to millions over the next few years, and ultimately, to the halls of power - UN, Parliaments, conferences, and mainstream media desks, where they can influence shifts in policy.

Yes, we are THAT powerful when our voices come together in a collective force. Stay tuned for more news and developments as we grow together.

All my love and admiration,

Women and Power

Dear Jensine,
I am so pleased to have heard this. I was at the Women and Power conference in Omega last summer on one of their scholarships. I was so moved by listening to Isabel Allende speak there, that it was then that I decided to become a writer. I'd toyed with the idea for years, but it was something about seeing her on stage and listening to the way she spoke about writing and the work of her foundation that helped to push me forward. After that weekend I began to write and study writing but my fear of being public was paralysing. I had a head full of stories and ideas but I was too scared to share them with anyone. Then I found this program. Here with you all at World Pulse I have had all the help and encouragement and support and love, yes love, I needed to overcome my fears of putting myself out there and sharing my thoughts and views on the world.
It is so great for me to hear how the women at Omega received the news of your program and the work we are all doing as correspondents. I feel so very blessed and honored to be on this journey, from a quiet simmering dream to a burning passion set alight by Omega to World Pulse correspondent in less than a year. It is still nervewracking for me, each and every time I post, but I am doing it nonetheless.
I wish I could have gone to the conference again this year. It was an amazing experience. I am glad though, that you got to see and feel first hand the transformational effect your vision for world pulse is having on us correspondents as well as many other women around the world.
Thank you for sharing,
Truly, truly it is an honor for us all to be here,

Great job

Dear Jensine,

An inspirational leader to us. That is what you are. This is your job: going everywhere we would like to go, sharing everything we would like to share, telling people what we would like to tell them. I feel like I have been there with you, because your words and actions were ours. Thanks for talking about us so dearly. The emotion in your words made me want to silently weep. I am overwhelmed, overjoyed, to know that so many other women began to know about us, because that is the beginning of more of the beautiful things that are happening here.

Keep going places, keep sharing our voices. This amazing journey makes us incredibly powerful. And we owe it to you!

Big hugs and an ovation to you too!

Thank you for the world that you have introduced to us. Indeed my life is changing each day. There is so much power in writing and I hope that this experience will change the lives of everyone we encounter both online and in our communities.

I am sure you are are always amazed at this budding baby.... the forgotten voices of women from around the globe. I have a dream, that soon, these voices will cease from being forgotten. Collectively, our communities will rock our worlds individually and collectively.
