This was forwarded to me, i found it very informative and decided to share with you all.

Recently this past week, a 31-year-old newly graduated student, with a doctoral degree about to start her new career as a Doctor, was flown into a nearby hospital, because she passed out. They found a blood clot in her neck, and immediately took her by helicopter to the ER to operate by the time they removed the right half of her skull to relieve the pressure on her brain, the clot had spread to her brain causing severe damage.. Since last Wednesday night, she was battling.. they induced her into a coma to stop the blood flow, They operated 3 times.. Finally, they said there was nothing left that they could do. They found multiple clots in the left side of her brain. The swelling wouldn't stop, and she was on life support. She died at 4:30 yesterday.
She leaves behind a husband and a 2yr old Brandon and a 4yr old Justin... The CAUSE of DEATH - they found was a birth control pill she was taking that allows you to only have your period 3 times a year... They said it interrupts life's menstrual cycle, and although it is FDA approved... shouldn't be - So to the
women in my address book - I ask you to deal with your period once a month - so you can live the rest of the months that your life has in store for you. Please send this to every woman you know - you may save someone's life....
Remember, you have a CYCLE for a reason!

The name of this new birth control pill is Lybrel. If you go to you will find at least 26 pages of information regarding this drug.
The second birth control pill is, Seasonique. If you go to the website you will find 43 pages of information regarding this drug. The warnings and side effects regarding both pills are horrible.
Please, please forward this information to as many daughters AND sons,co-workers, friends and relatives. Several lives have already been changed

Whoa, thanks for the heads up! I'd never consider using such a back-lashing pill in the first place, this just adds to my reasons to NOT use it!
(They REALLY should test these things and perhaps take the bullets out of the gun instead of making a bullet-proof vest!)

makes sense

When I first saw the advertisement for this pill, I shrieked. Intuitively, it made no sense to purposely skip a menstrual cycle. I'm sorry for the women who have to prove this by their death or discomfort. At this time when the world is waking up (perhaps slowly still in many places) to the beauty of the feminine, my hope is that we will learn to appreciate this monthly cleansing. Women's bodies are such perfect systems (as are mens).

Thanks for sharing this fatwaz

birth control pills

Hi there,

I am new to the sight but just wanted to add my two cents as a midwife. All birth control pills containing estrogen carry the risk of blood clot (including the two that you mentioned). The risk is about 1 in 5000 of having a heart attack or stroke because of the pill. This risk increases if you are over 35 and if you smoke cigarettes (which really is not recommended if you take the pill). This woman's death is incredibly tragic but unfortunately a risk of hormonal contraceptive (whether you are having a period once a month or getting them 3 times a year).

The reality is, however, that the risks associated with pregnancy FAR outweigh the risks associated with taking hormonal contraception. It is therefore important for women who are sexually active to use some type of contraceptive to reduce the risks that pregnancy itself places on a woman's body.

I am a big fan of the Copper T IUD. It does not contain any hormones and is just as effective as the pill (close to 99% if used correctly!). It is good for 12 years and much cheaper than using the pill. It is recommended for women who are in a monogamous relationship as one of the risks is if you become infected with a sexually transmitted disease, this disease can go into your uterus and cause a pelvic infection. That's why it's important to see a health care provider regularly to screen for STDs.

If you are taking the the pill, remember that pain in your abdomen, chest, head, eyes or severe calf or thigh pain (you can remember these as ACHES) is a reason to seek medical attention immediately. There are risks with birth control pills, but they can also be a very effective method of preventing pregnancy!

Thank you very much

Dear Ms.Fatwas,
This is really great of you to share this valuable and most important information for all women in the world. As new technologies and medicines comes on our way, many of us do not think about the future effects and got attracted to the short term "benefits". This should not happen. We must keep informing women about issues regarding their health. Thank you very much for sharing this information.

Thank you so much Ms. Fatwas for taking the time to share this information with us. I will tell my friends and family about it.

I myself was in Midwifery Training but had to stop as i could not go confirm with the so called statistics and evidence based practices that were comon there. I could not agree with all these wunders that modern medicine is supposed to have brought us. I was shocked to learn about the hospitalisation of women being treated like they were not able to speak and decide for themselves here in England during the 60th and 70th and I sat in tears with all my fellow students in the auditorium when women talked about their traumas they had suffered in the hands of doctors. We are strong women and we know how to give birth and if it would be really that dangerous as doctors and midwifes make us believe than humanity would not have survived and florished like we have. There are women who give birth all by themselves out in the bush and manage without help from one of these half gods in white (doctors). Girls, Women of the world wake up. Don't let them tell you that giving birth and being pregnant is dangerous. That is rubbish. Our bodies are created to give birth when they are healthy. We just need to learn to trust in them and in nature again. Their is no reason to be afraid. Birth is one of the most sacred and empowering moments in your live and it should not be stolen from you by making you afraid. It is when a young women goes into her own power. It is so beautyful to watch and to go through yourself. The secret is to relax and let go and let your body do the work.
And when it comes to the Moon Time than we all really need to learn more about ourselves. Bleeding once a month is the biggest gift mother earth has given to us. It is the time we can receive visions for our people. It is the time that our bodies purify themselves, the time we are the strongest conected to the female power our birth right. And men are afraid of a bleeding woman because her energies are that strong that she can bring his powers to a hold. That is why bleeding women are banned from places of worship during their Moon Time. Well maybe the invention of the pill was just another way of taking away our right to be powerful and connected to the earth and we were made believe that it was for our freedom. It you think of it on our costs. Why did nobody invent something to make him infertile? Why do we have to carry the burden again? Have you ever thought about this? It is much easier for a men to have a treatment cutting of the semen Tubes and it is less invasive and has nothing to do with changing something in the hormon balance.
I just plea to every woman out there Don't give away your power! There are better ways of contraception than the pill and it has to do with learning to know how your body and yourself is functioning and I am sure that you can learn what time you are ovulating and when not to have sex. That is how one takes her responsibility.
Be Blessed every where and enjoy your own power. Take a day off when you have your Moon Time and take time for yourselves even if it is only 10 minutes during your job on your sacred toilet Moon Lodge Space and listen what your body has to tell you. Or if possible get together with other Moon Women and enjoy telling stories, singing, and connecting to our earth mother. Chocolate is aloud too and nice hot tea and lots of red blankets, curtains and clothes. Happy Bleeding!

Yes! Spread the word!

I'm glad the word is getting out. Although I had tons of problems with my cycle, no way was I ever going to alter it for 3 or 4 times a year. The side affects are so harmful until the commercials have been revamped. Stay away from it. Some women have survived a similiar situation and the quality of their life is horribly compromised. In addition, they end up getting off of the drug, still having their cycle.

Look for the message in the mess!

thank you for passing on this information. I have been equally horrified by the creation of these medications and an organization in San Francisco, CA called the Red Web Foundation provides education to women about menstruation.
Check out their website at They also have a Facebook page. Keep spreading the word.
