Introducing myself and my journal: 4 Change

About Me:
I have a master’s degree in political science, but work in the completely unrelated field of insurance. I work for my company's direct repair program, which means I oversee the body shops that actually do the repairs to our customers’ vehicles. It's not exactly a field filled with women, or one that I envisioned for myself, but mounting student loans sent me scurrying away from academia and into the world of earning a living.
My free time is largely dominated by politics and trying to make a difference. I'm an active volunteer for Organizing for America, and am currently consumed with doing everything in my power to get help health care reform passed in the U.S.
