Introducing myself and my journal
About Me:
At the moment I am sitting in my home which happens to be an old red barn that was converted into a living space. A river flows in my backyard and there are trees and farms that make up my neighborhood. The pace here is more simplified after living in large cities for most of my life. This is why I was drawn here. There are so many interests and passions in my life that my environment serves to nourish these ideas and enlighten my insight on how to bring them to fruition. Discovering World Pulse has been very important to me and I am so excited to join the network of individuals here. My hope is to learn from others, offer my own assistance, and enjoy being part of something so powerful!
My Passions:
People. Nature. Creativity. Cultural Traditions. Herbal and Traditional Medicine.
My Challenges:
To strive to be a better person and in doing so having the courage to face adversity, selfishness and various obstacles.
My Vision for the Future:
Balance, Harmony and Peace...Where Respect graces all creatures.
My Areas of Expertise:
Art (Painting, Photography, Graphic Design) Herbalism and Nutrition, Religious Studies

A warm welcome
Hello Orange Blossom,
What a wonderful introduction you have given...your life sounds like it's filled with soul, passion, and meaning. I can imagine that living in the country after big city living is a deep breath of clarity and relaxation. I live in Portland, which is a beautiful and thriving city- and I crave more nature at the same time.
You will meet so many wonderful Pulsewire members! Joining a group is a great way to get to know members.
http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups We just started a book club- that might be of interest to you- http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/12087. Reading Daughter of Destiny by Benazir Bhutto and will start discussing it soon.
Another very active group is the Rafiki Club- pen pals from Kenya writing to women around the globe as they gain literacy skills! http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/6627
Hope to see you here on Pulsewire soon!
Warmly,
Laura
Hello
It is very nice to meet you. Thank you for the recommendations on the groups to look into. I just sent my sister a hard copy of the magazine and I know one of her passions is promoting literacy. At the moment she lives in Vermont and is finishing her year of AmeriCorp service. So hopefully she will join as well! I am going to browse the various groups to feel out which ones appeal to me the most. I am sure I will be speaking with you again soon!
Take Care.
Erika
