I'm all for cultural relativism, but...

This seriously is about to make my head explode. Using women as instruments to advance your own political agenda is despicable.

I should point out, though, despite my objections to the law, this article is written very condescendingly, choosing to emphasize even the word "barbaric" in the headline. This is very sensationalist and decreases the credibility of the article.

Terrible

I have read this news in other media also, and it happens to be true. How despicable it is!

Men do to us whatever we let them. That is the truth. Women in Afghanistan need other women of the world to help them. How? I don't know. But something needs to be done. Maybe this forum could help find ways of helping women in this country.

I pray that there will be light shed on the lives of afhgani women.

Thanks for posting.
