World Pulse editors are looking for fresh stories by, for and about women entrepreneurs around the globe. If you have a story to share with us, please email email@example.com.
This is a hard one. I am certain that there are so many! Here is a link to a U.S. based(?) organization that I love. They are still growing but had an amazing idea to latch on to the grocery stores as a way of setting up shop! I hope they grow.
Another really fun one is The Emancipation Newtork and/or their product line at: www.madebysurvivors.com. I like their strategy to get the community involved by allowing us to host a survivor party. It reminds me of Mary Kay with a really great cause. Hope it goes all the way to the top. All of the items available are made by survivors or women vulnerable to exploitation. John Berger from TEN is a member of World Pulse. He is in my friend spot! Yea :0)
I will definately get in touch with the folks at TEN. We will be honored to broadcast their success stories. Thanks a million for the personal recommendation... It really helps to know what projects our community endorses, since as you noted, there are SO many possibilities for covering the exciting work that's being done.
I'm also proud to announce that World Pulse is joining with World of Good for the release of their new online marketplace. This exciting partnership will help us amplify the solutions coming from our community of readers and users, broadcasting them to a wider audience. We'll be updating our content once a month, so we'll be specifically soliciting editorial content of this nature on an ongoing basis.
Elizabeth, would you perhaps be willing to let me interview you sometime? I would really like to capture your practical, empowering approach to consumer solutions in an article. With the advice you're posting here on PulseWire we've got a good start, and I would like to ask just a few more questions to flesh out the content. Email, phone or PulseWire would be fine for me, so please let me know what would be most convenient for you, if you are willing!
Maria Jett, Online Community Director
I am surprised that you want to interview me (Plain Jane). I just have a spiritual connection with people of the world. It's probably the same inspiration that helped you to create this amazing network. We should be interviewing you! I would love to help in any way. Please e-mail me sometime. Sounds like fun. Maybe I will come up with a new idea! Again, flattered... :0)
I have some cute pieces of crochet that i make.Tell me Maria,i have realised that i could try them out in the market, together with other handcrafted items made by our members. What should my first step be?Wow!I am making a new discovery!
You should definately sell your work on PulseWire and World Pulse Marketplace. We would be honored to feature it as an example and inspiration for other groups.
I suggest that for now, you post the things you'd like to sell in your personal journal or in the "offered" section of Resource ExChange. If you don't have photos available, you can simply describe what it is your offering in as much detail as possible. Also, do be sure to include information about the cost of the items and how people may contact you to order.
It will of course be very, very helpful for our readers and for your members if you are able to photograph your work and attach the photos to your posts. This must be our goal for the future! When the photos are ready, we can help you create a more official online store if you are interested in moving forward. Please let me know if I can help with this.
p.s.-Cori knitted me a pair of fingerless gloves for my birthday last week... so I can type and have warm hands, too. I just love them, and I'm very much looking forward to adding a piece of yours to my collection, as well!
Happy New Year, Leah!
