Days leading upto 14 August, 2009
This newsletter is meant to highlight various positive initiatives, efforts and work of several Pakistanis - individuals, groups, organizations and institutions - across the spectrum. However, we cannot ignore that 6 Pakistani Christians (which include women and a child) have been left dead in the wake of Christian - Muslim riots and violence against the former community has been perpetrated by some from the latter.
It is nothing short of shameful.
Let us hope and pray that harmony prevails and that the perpetrators of such dastardly acts are punished to the fullest extent of the law.
Citizens Archive of Pakistan
The Citizens Archive of Pakistan (CAP) is a registered non-profit, tax-exempt society, founded in 2007 by ten board members, who came together to preserve and archive Pakistan’s history and source of identity. The organization’s two-fold mission includes recording, preserving, archiving and making available the rich history of the country for future generations in a wide variety of new media and setting up the Living History Museum of Pakistan which will serve both as an interactive museum as well as a research facility for students and academics alike in Karachi.
