Iranian people united

Iranian people campaigned for a mass and united act on Tuesday 30 Tir (july21st) at 9pm, not a second sooner or later.

The emails are sent to ask people to turn on any electrical device, better to be Iron, hair drier..., to cut the power off so the news which begins at 9pm, channel one, won't be heard by so many people. It has been asked as a way of showing protest and one of the suggestions which these days people themselves decide to ask and do.

9pm news is the important news broadcasting and after people sent such emails during last month till now the government tried to show if the power goes off it's because of leakages not anything else, so they announced several times these days that people should be careful on using the power and we don't have enough resources, etc. It's been said after they had announced previously we have no problem in this regard.

This campaign is to show respect for those who've been killed in the post election protest rally which was held one month ago on 30th of Khordad (Jun 20th).

In the emails people have been asked to turn on the devices for 4 minutes and if the government decided to send the news on the air seconds sooner or later not as always in order to make peoples effort useless; they (people) repeat it at 10, another news time, and if again this news won't be on the air at the specific time, they go on for 10:30 PM news.

The campaign says, even if government changes the times of the news on Tuesday what people made them to do is important and they should do it simultaneously at the specific time to make it happen.

The whole world is solidly

The whole world is solidly behind the brave and courageous people of Iran who took to the streets, defiled all odds to be heard and assert their rights. We are all praying for you all and for the end of such a tyrannical government.

Peace!
Fatima

solidarity

I greatly respect the efforts of peoples in Iranian striving to give voices to their struggles through deliberate social actions. Using the electricity as a means to direct the power of the people is absolutely 'electric'. We are here to support the voices of social justice and empowerment around the world.
The voices of many are powerful and won't be silenced!

In action and solidarity,
Jody
