Mentors-- the Evaluation Process

The first month's assignments have almost all been posted! We've developed a simple evaluation form and process that will kick off by the end of this week.

  • You will be assigned a particular assignment to evaluate each month, never from your own Correspondent. We will provide you a direct link to the assignment.
  • The evaluation form will be based on PulseWire, and you will be provided with a direct link to it.
  • The evaluation form is comprised of 4 questions, and allows for quantitative and qualitative feedback.
  • The questions ask to what extent does the writing make you feel: inspired, moved to action, and connected. Also, we ask for your overall impression.

What is important to remember is that these evaluations will provide only one piece of an overall selection process. In the end, the "winners" chosen will be the Correspondents with the best ability to represent the entire group. They will be those most able and willing to go on a public speaking tour, and to influence public opinion. The final selection will be informed by your evaluation results, but will be decided by our Global Voices Council in October.

If you have any feedback or questions about this process, please either start a conversation here, or send an email.
