Movie, Yesterday

main_postpremiere.jpgI recently watched the movie, Yesterday, the first commercial feature-length production in Zulu. It tells of a beautiful young mother, named Yesterday, who discovers she has AIDS. Yesterday's warm and loving nature is set against the harsh landscapes of South Africa, in a remote village with no modern conveniences. The story takes you on a journey through Yesterday's life, and highlights her courage and determination to provide a life for herself and her daughter, Beauty, in whom she takes great joy.
I will not say more as I do not want to spoil the movie for you, but it is so inspiring. I encourage everyone who is looking for an inspirational and quietly powerful movie to watch Yesterday.

Thanks for telling us about this film, it seems wonderful! I don't watch a lot of films , but I'm also open to great ones. I recently watched Sisters in Law, it's about two female attorneys fighting for women's rights and fighting against violence against women in Cameroon.
