Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I was born and raised in Canada, but am currently living in Kenya. I came to Africa as a volunteer in 2004, fell in love with the country and ended up staying to do my university degree. I am graduating with a BA in psychology (minor in Communication and Culture) and am currently interning at a women's and human rights organization in Nairobi. I am planning to start a law degree and MA in Human Rights next year, helping me get that much closer to a career that I am passionate about. Right now I am looking to connect with people around the world who are dedicated to human rights and to become inspired by the work they do and the contributions they make. In addition, I am a travel junkie and closet journal-er/photographer, so am also looking to read about other people's experiences engaging in new cultures and perhaps get advice on places to travel and projects I can participate in while I am there.

Hey Michelle, I feel like we

Hey Michelle,
I feel like we have a lot in common! I love Africa too. I'm Sudanese, but I would love to visit Kenya! I studied communications and Sociology as an undergraduate. I would like to go into human rights. I'm really passionate about women's rights and refugee rights. Where are you planning to do your MA?
