Giftypearl Abenaab might not be the familiar name to the world but is definitely a precious gift to the children, youth and women of Ghana. Born in the year 1984, this 25 year old lady introduces herself as a poet, writer, a youth advocate and a gender activist working on the field of children, youth and women’s issues for the past 6 years.

Though she is not technically oriented as a radio presenter she learnt it by being a member “Children and Youth in Broadcasting-Curious Minds” (A MEDIA YOUTH ADVOCACY GROUP) from where she has understood the importance of media and journalism in the society.

She founded “GREIGHT LEADERS’ FOUNDATION” with a vision of “seeing a world where women are assertive and economically independent through quality education”. The Foundation aims at mentoring young boys and girls to stay in school by encouraging, mentoring and coaching them.

She has interest in contributing on children, youth and women’s issues and wants to motivate and encourage them to pursue their dreams. She aspires to be a media consultant and a lawyer working for the betterment of children, youth and women.

She has the spirit of volunteerism which makes her unique in a group of people. An interview with her reminded me of the lines “Life is like a piano, anyone can play a song through meaningless repetition but it takes passion to play a masterpiece” and Gifty indeed has that passion to play a masterpiece.
